A Cocreation and Information Session will take place in Doon Social Farm in co. Limerick on the 28th of May between 19 30 and 21 30 o’clock
This will be our second cocreation session in co. Limerick, the first cocreations event in co Limerick took place at Deebert Hotel at Kilmallock and was a great success, it was very interesting to hear from the participants about different soil issues and improvement ideas.
Join us at the SOILCRATES Living Lab meeting to learn how you can contribute to restoring and preserving local soil health, as well as discover funding opportunities for developing soil experiments on your farm.
The SOILCRATES Ireland Living Lab, covering Counties Limerick, Clare, and Tipperary, is part of the EU-funded SOILCRATES project. The project focuses on addressing Ireland’s agricultural and environmental challenges by promoting sustainable soil management, biodiversity restoration, and the integration of circular agriculture practices.
What to Expect:

Co-Creation Session: Participate in a collaborative session where we will explore innovative practices for enhancing soil health, such as biochar application, intercropping with nitrogen-fixing plants, and other approaches to address issues like nitrogen overuse and poor drainage.

Knowledge Exchange: The Living Lab serves as a hub for knowledge exchange, fostering a collaborative network of farmers, landowners, and stakeholders to promote resilient agricultural systems in the Mid-West region through real-world trials and experimentation.

Funding Opportunities: Learn how you can access financial support for trials and pilot initiatives aimed at enhancing soil quality on your farm.
